Trainer / Founder

With 20 years of experience in Sanda, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Wrestling, Edward has taught over 6,500 sessions, specializing in beginners and kids. A Beijing Sanda Champion and National Level Athlete since 2010, he brings elite skills and real-world experience to every class.

Currently serving as a Military Health Officer, Edward is passionate about making a difference. Having experienced how martial arts transformed his own life, he is dedicated to helping students of all ages achieve their own life-changing breakthroughs through training.

Head Trainer

Meet our head trainer, Muzamel Champ! 🥇 With over 8 years of experience and an Afghanistan National Gold Medal in Kickboxing (55kg) and Freestyle Wrestling (58kg), Muzamel's classes are all about real combat techniques. He focuses on practical skills that can be applied both in the ring and in real-life situations. If you're looking to build strength, sharpen your technique, and train like a true fighter, his classes are exactly what you need.

Meet Coach Gordon! 🏆

Starting Taekwondo at 6, Gordon became a multiple-time Hong Kong Taekwondo Champion and represented Hong Kong internationally. At 13, he took up Muay Thai and won the Hong Kong Muay Thai Reunification Cup. With experience in Judo and Karate, his training blends precision, power, and real competition skills.

Meet Coach Michelle! 🥋

A martial artist with 10+ years of MMA experience in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Muay Thai, and Dutch Kickboxing, Michelle brings both skill and intensity to every class. With 5+ years working in National Corrections with male offenders, she knows the importance of real-world self-defense. Train with Michelle and build confidence, strength, and resilience!

Meet Coach Hervé! 🥊

A certified Muay Thai trainer with over 21 years of experience coaching kids, youth, and adults, Hervé brings a dynamic approach to training. He holds an ACE certification, completed Personal and Group Fitness Training, ISSA kickboxing trainer, and 4 years of traditional Jiu-Jitsu. As a multifaceted artist skilled in Rope Skipping, Double Dutch, Dance, and Martial Arts, Hervé’s classes are energetic, engaging, and built for all levels.

Meet Coach Gayan Mendoza!

Gayan was an amateur and profesional boxing fighter from Belgium with more than 40 fights in novice, amateur and professional divisions. He started boxing at age of 15 and very quickly became a great hope for Belgian boxing. He was able to fight and train many boxer around the world ( European, American, Canadian, Australian) Currently, he is focused on sharing his passion and knowledge of boxing.

Meet Coach Peter! 🥋🥊

With a combined 12 years of experience in Kyokushin Karate, Muay Thai, and Boxing, Peter is a dedicated martial artist and coach. A former Kyokushin Karate competitor and tournament bronze medalist, as well as an active Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, he holds a Purple Belt under Alliance BJJ and won Silver at the 2022 BCJJF Regionals. With 6 years of 1-on-1 coaching experience, Peter emphasizes martial arts as a tool for fitness, stress relief, and overall well-being. Whether you're training for competition or personal growth, his classes will push you to new heights!

Meet Coach Kaoru! 🥊

With 5 years of martial arts experience and a background as a kickboxing instructor at Legras Gym in Japan, Kaoru brings both skill and passion to coaching. Holding a Master’s in Sustainability & Development from the United Nations University and a Bachelor’s in Health Science from Simon Fraser University, she blends fitness with a holistic approach to well-being.

Kaoru specializes in kids' classes, focusing on building confidence, discipline, and foundational martial arts skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Meet Coach Jay 🥊
Jay began his martial arts journey with Taekwondo, but found his true passion in Muay Thai, which he has been practicing for over six years.

With amateur fight experience and a deep respect for the art, Jay continues to grow both as a practitioner and a coach. His training took him to Thailand, where he had the opportunity to learn authentic Muay Thai from world class fighters and coaches. Jay brings dedication, discipline, and real fight insight to every session.

Meet Coach Gurkirin! 🥋

Training in MMA since 2012, Gurkirin holds a black belt and has earned multiple competition titles—including 3 first-place awards in patterns and 4 second-place awards in sparring. Her coaching philosophy focuses on the powerful connection between mindset, technique, and physical strength.

Currently studying medicine, Gurkirin sees fitness and wellness as key to achieving mental, physical, and spiritual success. Passionate about working with kids, she’s committed to helping young students build confidence, resilience, and discipline—laying the foundation for lifelong fulfillment.

Meet Coach Brennan! 
Brennan has been training in Boxing and Muay Thai for over six years, along with four years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling. With a background in extreme endurance sports — including completing a solo 100-mile ultramarathon, an Ironman 70.3, and the Squamish 50-mile trail run — he understands the importance of discipline, resilience, and mental toughness.
Drawing inspiration from Nick Diaz, Brennan’s style focuses on relentless pressure and high-volume striking. He brings that same energy, drive, and focus to every class, creating an environment that challenges students while keeping it fun and supportive.

  • Okick boxing is such a good gym!!! The workouts are great, the trainers are amazing and the vibes are so good. I love all my workouts there and feel like they treat everyone like family. Cannot recommend enough if you are a beginner to kickboxing (like me) or more advanced. I have learned a lot and my cardio has definitely improved!

  • I recently accompanied my friend for a group kick boxing class at this new studio. The trainers are professional and responsible. It was my friend’s first time, the trainer spent some extra time with her to ensure she won’t get injured and also corrected her moves. Class was engaging, love the music and positive vibe. Friendly staff and reception desk. Overall very positive experience, highly recommended!

  • I enjoy practicing boxing here because the smaller class size makes introvert like me more comfortable and relax. At the same time the environment are very clean and facility are all very new and employees are all very friendly.
